Helping With Our Children
If you like children and have attended Wallace for more than six months, we would welcome you to our Children’s Ministries team.  We currently need a worship hour teacher for the Pre K/Kindergarten class during the sermon.  All materials are provided for you.  We use Great Commission Publications “Beginning Kids Quest Catechism” and also practice hymns of the month, Bible Memory Challenge, and Stepping Stone training for worship participation.

Our Sunday School

Children ages 2 through grade 8 are currently taught from materials provided by Great Commission Publications during the Sunday School hour.  The lesson series is entitled “Show Me Jesus” and lessons are taken from both the Old and New Testament.  Activities include age-appropriate stories, Bible memory verses and crafts.

Parents, we are trying to make it possible to communicate by email instead of mailings.  Stop by the nursery sign-in desk to update your email.  Thanks!  We sent the notice via email to all children who had qualified for the ice skating party.  Let us know if you did not receive the message.

Bible Memory Challenge – Sunday, Feb. 19, is the last day to recite Psalm 100.  Those who have met the challenge will be treated to an ice skating party  on February 20, 12-2 at Wells Rink on 5211 Paint Branch Parkway, College Park.  If you are not sure if you got credit, check the bulletin board in the children’s module.  We will sing for the congregation on Palm Sunday so keep practicing with the CD you received in the fall. 

Hymn of the Month -February – “What Wondrous Love Is This” was chosen by popular vote of the elementary Sunday School students to celebrate God’s great love for us.

 Stepping Stone — Have you learned the Stepping Stone for your current grade?  These steps are designed to help you participate in worship.  For a copy to help you practice, see Mrs. Brockman.  Students receive a certificate on Promotion Sunday for each Stepping Stone learned.
